About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to support our U.S.-based operations. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located in Cape Town, South Africa.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, supporting bids, and helping secure projects ranging from <$150K to $50MM. The role requires strong attention to detail, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple estimates at once.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for various project types.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and site information.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Compare bids, verify costs, and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and attend virtual pre-bid meetings.

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience estimating for a general contractor or subcontractor.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam (or similar software).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
• Degree or coursework in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred.
