We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Accountant to join our virtual team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all payroll-related activities and ensuring timely, accurate compensation for all employees. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and direct deposit information.
- Verify hours worked and ensure the accuracy of wage calculations.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Generate payroll reports for management and reconcile payroll accounts as needed.
- Assist with benefits administration and ensure proper deduction setup.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee records and sensitive payroll information.
- Coordinate with the HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and labor regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a payroll accountant, payroll assistant, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax filings, and accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and payroll software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly.
- Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.
- Clear English speaking skills (C2 Level).
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
Salary and Benefits:
- Full-Time.
- $4.00 to $6.00 per hour, based on experience.
