We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Accountant to join our virtual team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all payroll-related activities and ensuring timely, accurate compensation for all employees. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and direct deposit information.
  • Verify hours worked and ensure the accuracy of wage calculations.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and reconcile payroll accounts as needed.
  • Assist with benefits administration and ensure proper deduction setup.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee records and sensitive payroll information.
  • Coordinate with the HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and labor regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a payroll accountant, payroll assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax filings, and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and payroll software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.
  • Clear English speaking skills (C2 Level).
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Full-Time.
